LABEL SET FOR MARKING DOORS IN EMERGENCIES

DOK! is a set of high quality tags intended for marking doors during emergency situations, especially in high-rise buildings or other such complicated areas, where it is crucial that intervention units have a clear overview of whether a specific room has already been checked. This helps them to be sure that there is no fire in the room, or that there are no people in it.

IT HELPS WITH ORIENTATION
IN A REDUCED VISIBILITY AREA

Everyone who has ever participated in an intervention in a building such as high rise apartments or offices knows that it can be a demanding, complicated, and very confusing situation. DOK! is a product/tool that can be used in a reduced visibility area (dark and smoky, for example) in order to make it easier for firefighters to find their way around. It helps to improve their overview of the situation, makes their work easier, and increases their safety.

INTENDED FOR REPEATED USE

DOK! kit consists of a case and a number of individual tags with reflective elements. Thanks to the use of high-quality and durable materials and reflective elements, the DOK! Kit is reusable.

case

The case is made of a waterproof, fabric‑based, material with a water‑resistant layer applied for easy cleaning, washing, and sanitizing. The case is rectangular in shape with rounded corners, and it has a zipper with two sliders running around three sides. If one slider is damaged, the case is still fully functional.

On the side without a zipper, which serves as a connecting part between the front and the back of the case, there is a sewn-in handle for placing a marker/descriptor on the outside.

The back side of the case is equipped with a Velcro fastener, where the second part of the Velcro fastener forms the back side of the pad, with an eyelet for attachment to the equipment/equipment strap.

The case is intended for vertical placement on gear/equipment, and can be placed in the most suitable position for the individual user, such as on the left or right side of a belt on trousers, on the back, or on the strap of the canister of the breathing apparatus.

The front side of the case is sewn with a reflective edging, which helps the user see the case even in reduced visibility.

After pulling out the last tag from the case, the empty case is easily identifiable thanks to the lining of the slit being made with reflective fabric. If there are 1-10 tags in the case, only one side of the seam is visible, while after emptying the case, both sides of the slit are visible.

On the front side, under the slot for removing the tags, there are two eyelets for placing wedges to secure the door. These eyelets are made of a durable fabric coated with a rubber layer on the inside to increase adhesion and prevent the wedge from falling out during movement.

Safety features

in case of need/necessity, the case can be easily removed from the gear/equipment so that it does not endanger the life or health of the firemen who intervene.

User comfort

There is a simple, one-step process for the removal of the case from the attachment without the need to unfasten the straps of the equipment, as well as the easy and quick exchange of an empty case with a full one, thus increasing the speed of individual activities.

TAGS/LABELS

All about DOK! labels

The tag is made to allow for easy, intuitive handling in standard gear, especially when wearing emergency gloves. Thanks to the uniform and unequivocal distribution of the reflective elements on the hanger, it is easy for firefighters to correctly attach the tag to the door hardware, even in difficult conditions. The tags are stored in the case by a flap, to ensure that the tag can be easily pulled out of the case, without the need for further handling of the case.

Made of red lacquered cowhide, functional holes are punched through the tags to ensure high mechanical resistance to damage.

Thanks to reflective elements from the supplier 3M, the tags are easy to see even in areas with reduced visibility (darkness, smoke). The location of the reflective elements on the tags is also designed to provide easy orientation and use of the tags when marking the doors of individual rooms.

The tags have punched holes to catch the fittings on both sides of the door, both in the case of a straight door handle and a ball. Installing a tag on the door provides immediate visual information about the condition of the room that has been marked with the tag.

Individual components and the entire set are intended for repeated use thanks to the use of high-quality and durable materials and reflective elements. If any component is damaged, it is easily replaceable with a new one, without having to buy a whole new set.
